Asylum Seeker Health Services Project

The Asylum Seeker Health Services Project is a collaboration between the California Department of Public Health Offices of Refugee Health, Binational Border Health, the San Diego County Department of Public Health and Family Health Centers of San Diego.  One Digital World is proud to assist the project by facilitating virtual focus groups with asylum seekers across the border, contributing to research on the many challenges asylum seekers face when accessing adequate health services. Health care services are now being offered at Family Health Centers of San Diego.

The ASHS Project assists asylum seekers:

  • Get enrolled in Medical Insurance

  • Receive health screenings and treatment

  • Get connected to a primary care provider
